We have a network of six computers available in the Lawson Room - 5 PCs and one Mac.

They can be used for internet access, playing games, general office use, editing photos/images, editing sound and video, copying DVDs etc.

They are connected to the internet by broadband, and there is a wireless network that people may use by prior arrangement. We have a scanner, and inkjet and laser printers available for a small charge for ink and paper. Software on the computers includes Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop and a small selection of games.

The room is generally available as a free drop-in facility, providing all local residents the facility to use computers. It's also used for a range of computer classes, held every couple of months. They are well attended and have proved popular for a number of years, providing personal tuition in a friendly environment. A nominal fee is charged.
